VEX U Team OOPS – Competitive Robotics Team

OOPS is a collegiate VEX U robotics team composed of students passionate about engineering design, manufacturing, programming, and competitive problem solving. As part of the VEX Robotics Competition, our team designs, manufactures, programs, and iterates fully custom robots to compete at a high level against universities and experienced engineering teams from around the world.

Our team emphasizes a hands-on engineering approach that combines rapid prototyping, CAD modeling, advanced manufacturing, systems integration, and strategic game analysis. Through iterative testing and collaboration, we develop innovative mechanisms and autonomous systems while balancing performance, reliability, and manufacturability under strict competition constraints.

Beyond competition performance, OOPS focuses heavily on engineering documentation, leadership, and mentorship. Team members gain experience in project management, technical communication, sponsorship outreach, and cross-functional teamwork while operating in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The team’s work involves:

Participation in OOPS has strengthened my abilities in technical problem solving, leadership, manufacturing, and collaborative engineering while reinforcing my passion for real-world engineering systems and innovation.
